We are excited to announce that the Gingerbread Village will once again be a part of the 2023 Festival of Trees. As with our trees, all guests will have the opportunity to vote for the “Fan Favorite” gingerbread house. All houses donated will be available for sale throughout the event to help raise the critical funds needed for innovative pediatric research projects at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

We would be pleased to accept volunteers and/or organizations who would be willing to design and decorate gingerbread house(s) to be sold at the event. If you would like to create a gingerbread house or you know someone who would be interested, please complete a “Gingerbread House Designer Contract”, which can be found using the link below or by contacting Denise McDonald at denise0611@hotmail.com (Denise can also be reached at (313) 570-2745.) We are also looking for volunteers to help with setup on the Friday before the Gala, packaging on the final day of the Festival, and those willing to donate candy that will be used as additional decoration in the Gingerbread Village.

All houses should be delivered to the Dearborn Performing Arts Center on the Friday before the event (November 17th) from 9 am – 5 pm. Once delivered, all houses become the property of Festival of Trees. The Gingerbread Village will be featured at the Preview Gala on Saturday, November 18th and will remain on display throughout the public show from Sunday, November 19th thru Sunday, November 26th. As a designer, you will receive your choice of either 4 adult General Admission tickets or 2 Adult and 10 Child General Admission tickets, as well as recognition on our website (www.fot.org) and signage by your gingerbread house during the event. Purchased houses will be available for pickup by their respective buyers on Sunday November 26th between 4:00 and 5:00 pm or on Monday November 27th between 9:00am and noon.

If you or your group are interested, please complete and return the contract as soon as possible. We are asking that everyone please return this form no later than October 31, 2023 so that we can plan the creation of the Gingerbread Village.
