2015 Festival of Trees Celebrates the Spirit of Giving in Dearborn
DETROIT, Mich, August 17-The 31st Annual Festival of Trees, a benefit for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, returns to the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center November 22nd through November 29th.
The Festival of Trees is a public display of spectacular professionally designed 7’ and 4’ holiday trees, tabletop trees, wreaths and other holiday gift shop items that are sold to raise funds for pediatric research.
“The Festival of Trees Event Committee and Board of Directors are thrilled to once again have English Gardens join the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center and Palmer Moving & Storage as Event Sponsors for our 31st year. We are looking forward to another successful holiday festival” says Event Director, Theresa Diefenbach.

“The venue is a lovely location for our designers to showcase their creative talent, providing a beautiful atmosphere for families that consider Festival of Trees the official start to the holiday season” said Diefenbach.

“There is no better way to kick off the holiday season. Festival of Trees is a wonderful family event for all ages,” said Wendy Kemp, Director of Special Events and Corporate Giving for Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation. “The dollars raised through Festival of Trees are an important part of the Foundation’s mission to improve the healthcare of children, and for this, we thank everyone at Festival of Trees for their 31 years of commitment,” added Kemp.

The 31st Annual Festival of Trees kicks off with a black tie Preview Gala on Saturday, November 21st   from 6:30 PM till 11:00 PM, featuring a silent auction, strolling dinner and sweets room, live entertainment, and cash bar. Long time supporters of Festival of Trees,   Debbie and John Dingell will be the Honorary Co-Chairpersons for the evening. Tickets are $75 and will be available at

Festival of Trees will then open to the public on Sunday November 22nd at 2:00 PM and run through November 29th.

On Tuesday, November 24th, Festival of Trees will be honoring our men and women in the Armed Forces, and Veterans by offering free admission to them. English Gardens will be making a special Festival of Trees from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Visitors will enjoy giveaways, and “how to” sessions featuring bow making, tree decorating, life-like tree shaping & lighting tips and more.

The Festival of Trees and the American Girl Fashion Show and Tea events are the largest annual special event fundraisers hosted by Festival of Trees for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation.

General admission tickets for adults are $5.00 and children are $3.00 and infants 2 and under are free.

Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation
