2019 Festival of Trees Celebrates 35 Years of Giving
DETROIT, MichiganThe 35th Annual Festival of Trees, a benefit for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, returns to the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center November 24th through December 1st.
The Festival of Trees is a public display of spectacular professionally designed 7’ and 5’ holiday trees, tabletop trees, wreaths and other holiday gift shop items that are sold to raise funds for pediatric research.
“The Festival of Trees Event Committee and Board of Directors are thrilled to once again have English Gardens join the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center and Palmer Moving & Storage as Event Sponsors for our 35th year. We are looking forward to another successful holiday festival” says Event Director, Theresa Diefenbach.
“We are excited to have fabulous designers showcase their creative talent, providing a beautiful atmosphere for families that consider Festival of Trees the official start to the holiday season” said Diefenbach.
The 35th Annual Festival of Trees kicks off with an elegant Preview Gala on Saturday, November 23rd. VIP tickets ($125 per person) feature early admission at 6:30 PM, a wristband that will allow entrance into the new Sky Lounge, open bar and heavy appetizers. Patron tickets ($75) feature admission at 7:30 PM, cash bar, and light appetizers in the ballroom. All guests will enjoy a silent auction, fabulous sweets and treats along with live entertainment by the Blue Water Kings.

Festival of Trees will then open to the public on Sunday November 24th at 2:00 PM and run through December 1st. Admission for adults: $5.00. Children (ages 3-16): $3.00, Under 2, no charge.
On Tuesday, November 26th, Festival of Trees will be honoring our Veterans and men and women in the Armed Forces by offering them free admission.
Our wonderful sponsor English Gardens will also be on site in the afternoon to do a fun craft that everyone can participate in.

On Sunday, November 3rd, all English Gardens stores will kick off the holiday season with their annual Christmas Open House. A portion of the sales will be donated to Festival of Trees.
