2018 Festival of Trees Celebrates the Spirit of Giving in Dearborn

DETROIT, Michigan, August 7, 2018-The 34th Annual Festival of Trees, a benefit for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, returns to the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center November 18th through November 25th.

The Festival of Trees is a public display of spectacular professionally designed 7’ and 5’ holiday trees, tabletop trees, wreaths and other holiday gift shop items that are sold to raise funds for pediatric research.

“The Festival of Trees Executive Committee and Board of Directors are thrilled to once again have English Gardens join the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center and Palmer Moving & Storage as Event Sponsors for our 34th year. We are looking forward to another successful holiday festival” says Event Director, Theresa Diefenbach.
“We are excited to have our fabulous designers showcase their creative talent, providing a beautiful atmosphere for families that consider Festival of Trees the official start to the holiday season” said Diefenbach.

Festival of Trees is a wonderful partner in funding pediatric research,” stated Lawrence J. Burns, President and CEO of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation. “With their latest commitment to the Children’s Research Center of Michigan, they will now be helping children all over the world”.

The 34th Annual Festival of Trees kicks off with an elegant Preview Gala on Saturday, November 17th. VIP tickets ($125 per person) feature early admission at 6:30 PM, a wristband that will allow entrance into the new Sky Lounge, open bar and heavy appetizers. Patron tickets ($75) feature admission at 7:30 PM, cash bar, and light appetizers in the ballroom. All guests will enjoy a silent auction, fabulous sweets and treats along with live entertainment by COD.

Festival of Trees will then open to the public on Sunday November 18th at 2:00 PM and run through November 25th. Admission for adults: $5.00. Children (ages 3-16): $3.00, Under 2, no charge.

On Tuesday, November 20th, Festival of Trees will be honoring our Veterans and men and women in the Armed Forces by offering them free admission.
Our wonderful sponsor English Gardens will also be on site in the afternoon to do a fun craft that everyone can participate in.

On Sunday, November 4th, all English Gardens will be kicking off the holiday season with their annual Christmas Open House. A portion of the sales will be donated to Festival of Trees.

Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation
